We value your time and your commitment, and we offer the highest quality coaching with you as an individual in mind. That means your limitations will not hold you back. One of the best qualities of a coach is understanding how to modify or scale a certain movement for safety and intensity and at SOPO Germantown that is what you'll get. The coaching doesn't stop after the KickStarter Course. In our daily classes, you’ll experience coach-led group warm-ups that focus on mobility, and we'll also lead you through the workout of the day.

After graduating Belhaven University, I was searching for a new way to stay active. I had been an athlete my whole life and I wanted something in my life comparable to college volleyball. I wanted some type of program that would not only get me back into the best shape of my life, but also be sustainable for years to come. I discovered CrossFit in 2008 and my life changed. Now I have been coaching CrossFit since 2010 and I absolutely could not picture myself doing anything different. 

My Bachelor degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine provided me with many opportunities in the past that have helped my knowledge in the gym today. Everyone that tries CrossFit here at SOPO Germantown has a different starting place. My job is to meet each person wherever they are at physically, emotionally, mentally; and make the journey of fitness enjoyable and attainable for each of them. I have a genuine passion that drives me to serve every individual that walks through these doors to the best of my ability every single day. I find true joy in seeing others succeed. People always say to find out what you're good at, do it, do it often, and find in joy it. I am very thankful to have found it; and I found it in CrossFit.

My name is Tim Waldron, and I’m a Lv.2 Crossfit Trainer. I’ve been training and coaching crossfit since 2008. I started doing crossfit while serving in the Marine Corps. It was during this time that I fell in love with the methodologies, lifestyle, and community that crossfit is all about. In May of 2009 I was injured in a Training operation overseas while in Djibouti, Africa. I had to spend just over 2 weeks in the hospital. However it was because of doing crossfit the previous few months that my body was able to handle the injuries, recover faster than expected, and survive. 

I used Crossfit to rehabilitate myself, and with the help and encouragement of the crossfit community I have far surpassed all expectations that I ever thought possible after my accident. I grew up in California and currently live in Memphis, Tn. I love getting to work with athletes whether it’s in a group or 1 on 1 environment. I love seeing people surprise themselves as they accomplish what they didn't think was possible. At some point everyone has a light bulb moment in the gym, and I love seeing that happen for others. I feel that Crossfit has become a great metaphor for life. Somedays you have to go hard and fast to get stuff done just as the short workouts require, and other days it’s about pacing. However, i believe that we should always enjoy ourselves and the struggles. It’s after the moments of struggle that the growth happens.

Thats what makes it all so great!

The KickStarter Challenge course is the introduction to our comprehensive training program. This course is 6 weeks long and will teach you the form and technique of all barbell to body weight movements, the philosophy of CrossFit, and the science behind CrossFit training.  We will coach you to be safe and efficient and maximize your performance longevity in the CrossFit program.  Upon completion of the KickStarter course, you will be prepared to join our regular CrossFit classes.

  • KickStarter Challenge Course (6 week course = 18 sessions PLUS Nutrition Assessment): $250 *Required for CrossFit beginners

Beginner Classes

Kickstarter Challenge Course: ONLY on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 7am OR 7pm 

  • If beginner times do not work within your schedule we provide 4-7 sessions of 1-on-1 coaching to teach you the foundational movements of CrossFit. The times are flexible. 4 sessions- 200$ or 7 sessions- 350$. I encourage 7 sessions if this is the first time weightlifting (using a barbell). 

Regular Daily Classes

Monday-Friday

  • Morning Classes 5 am, 6 am, and 9:30am
  • Noon 12 PM
  • Evening Classes 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm (no 6pm on Friday evening)

Saturday

  • Morning Group Members Class at 9am
  • Morning FREE for community class at 10am 

 

55+ Class- "Forever Young" 

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 8am 

  • This class is designed for the senior in mind. We will do low impact strength training along with balance and coordination exercises. Each class offers strength and conditioning. We will go at your speed. No prior experience necessary!

Nutrition

We believe at CrossFit Sopo Germantown that nutrition is the foundation for fitness. Starting in our Kickstarter Challenge course we will guide you in discovering how to make healthy choices. In the 6 week course you will receive nutrition challenges that will test your behavior and habits outside of the gym. I do not believe in food plans because they are NOT sustainable, yet what is sustainable is knowledge and experience. As you prepare for our daily classes you will learn tips and tricks to become the HEALTHIEST version of yourself. 

Our guidance doesn't stop in the beginner course. For our members we offer detailed and personal nutrition plans that WORK. These plans require accountability and communication as well as daily hard work. If you have a specific goal for weight loss, weight gain, or performance gain we will help you reach your goals.
